Could you please introduce yourself?
Hello, my name is Fanny, I am French and American and I am a first year student at the Bachelor of Science École Polytechnique.
Why did you choose the Bachelor of Science École Polytechnique?
I chose the Bachelor of Science École Polytechnique because it was for me the perfect balance between an excellent scientific education, access to extracurricular activities and musical facilities and being immersed in an international community.
Could you tell us how the first year is going?
The first year is going very well, I really like the academics here, although the workload was overwhelming at times. I managed to get involved in several committees, especially the music committee and Next which is the environmental committee, and even had time to take driving lessons and pass my drivers license. I met a lot of incredible people and I’m very happy to be here.
What would be a great memory of your first year in the Program that you would like to share with future students?
Even though I have gathered many great memories over the course of this year, I would have to say integration. The integration team this year did an amazing job at making us feel welcome the second we arrived on campus, and at organizing diverse events for us to have fun and get to know each other.
What are your ambitions for the future?
After bachelor I would like to pursue masters education related to sustainability and environmental studies and work towards taking climate action
Any piece of advice to future Bachelor students that you would like to share?
If there is any extracurricular activity that you like or that you would like to try, go for it, join a committee, or create a committee! It’s important to keep doing things that you enjoy to rest your mind and think about something else other than academics.
