Program Structure

The program is designed to be completed in 2 years (Master's Degree). It requires 140ECTS including two internships and an applied project (Policy in Action project).

In 2 years, students gain problem-solving, quantitative and managerial skills. At a time of heightened concern about economic development, labor, poverty, social equity, education, health and the environment, this MSc&T program gives students the tools to develop effective, evidence-based solutions and equip them with knowledge and understanding needed to reform and enhance public policies - with a focus on the quantitative methods in the framing, analysis, and resolution of public policy problems. Each year is characterized by an end-of-year internship of at least 16 weeks.

Year 1

Classes:
The academic year consists of four distinct types of courses. First, a series of mandatory courses focuses on equipping students with programming tools for data and statistical analysis as Applied Econometrics, Statistics and Microeconomics for Public Policy, Python and Stata for Data Science. Second, students can select from a range of elective and transversal courses to tailor their learning experience. Finally, the program emphasizes the application of knowledge through internships, lecture series, and applied projects, aiming to provide students with practical and in-depth expertise in public policy.

Year 2

Classes:
Following the same academic structure as the previous year with mandatory courses as: Microeconometric Evaluation of Public Policies, Applied Statistical/ Machine Learning. Futhermore, in their second year students are ready to specialize. They can choose between two different specializations:

  • Social Policies
  • Sectoral Policies, Regulation, and Competition
     

TRANSVERSE COURSES

  • Foreign Languages (French, English)
  • Applied Project: Policy-In-Action Consultancy
  • Sports
