École Polytechnique was awarded, once again, the French as a Foreign Language Quality Certification.

The French as a foreign language quality certification is a government certification awarded for 4 years by : the Ministry for National Education, Higher Education and Research, n the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, the Ministry for Culture and Communication.

L'X received the maximum score (***), thus guaranteeing the highest quality of linguistic training and assistance in 5 areas :

  • training, teaching
  • teachers
  • welcome, support
  • premises, safety, equipment,
  • management

The Centre international d'études pédagogiques (CIEP), a national public institution administratively related to the ministry for National Education, is in charge of implementing this certification system.

The Label’s Objectives

The French as a foreign language quality certification was set up by decree in 2007 to identify, recognise, and promote centres of French as a foreign language of which the language offer and the services present guarantees of quality.
It is a matter of setting up a quality-assurance process to give the public confidence, and to help diplomatic posts and the French network of institutes to prescribe a reliable offer of French-language courses based.
The State also undertakes to to make it an instrument for promoting the French language in the context of academic and professional mobility.
