MEET PASCAL GUEHL AND VINCENT LOWY, PROGRAM DIRECTORS
Pascal Guehl
French experienced software engineer, in industry, IT services and research labs, specialized in Computer Graphics (real-time 3D), he has a multidisciplinary background in mathematics, physics, and computer science, and earned a PhD in Computer Graphics from the university of Strasbourg, working on procedural texture and material synthesis (designing new models, algorithms, and prototypes intended for use by digital artists in the video game and film industries).
He is currently working at Ecole Polytechnique (LIX research lab) as a research engineer and post-doc in Computer Graphics.
Vincent Lowy
Professor of Information and Communication Sciences and Director of the ENS Louis-Lumière, he specializes in the relationship between cinema and history. He is interested in the representations of memory; he is interested in pacifism, the political and social aspects of cinema in the era of mainstream access to Hollywood cinema, and globalization.
