The Executive Master is École Polytechnique’s selective degree for executives and managers.
The course offers unique content combining technology, innovation management, and leadership, and will allow you to acquire the scientific and managerial skills required to influence and manage innovation in a context in which technology plays a major role.
It has been designed in a modular format to allow you to study while working at the same time.
A unique experience at the heart of innovation
Unlike a classic Executive MBA (EMBA), the content of École Polytechnique’s Executive Master’s focuses on understanding the technological trends that are set to play a key role in organizations and their business development. The course content is based on three pillars: technology, innovation management, and leadership.
Our aim is to give you an accurate overview of the different research advances in the most cutting-edge fields. Supported by our school’s 23 laboratories (most of which are CNRS laboratories), the Executive Master’s offers an immersive experience at the heart of innovation that will equip you with the tools to confront the challenges of the future.
During this course you will acquire sound knowledge in a range of technological fields, apply these skills to innovation management, and benefit from an individual and group coaching program to develop your leadership skills.

To enable you to acquire solid theoretical skills, teaching includes conferences, debates, talks by experts, and visits to laboratories, incubators, companies, museums, etc.
TEAM
PROJECT
The Team Project is the cornerstone of your course and allows you to apply the program's teachings through a concrete project (creation, acceleration, incubation, excubation, etc.).
SOTA
Report
The State Of The Art (SOTA) Report is an individual assignment on a topic of your choice that you will work on throughout the program. The objective of the task is to produce an overview of an area in cutting-edge technology.

To help develop your leadership skills, you will receive personalized support throughout the course through coaching and personal and professional development classes.
DIVERSITY
Diversity is at the heart of our admission process. Our graduating classes include engineers, businessmen and women, managers of large groups, start-up founders, but also politicians, researchers, physicians, lawyers, etc.
This allows us to bring together participants with complementary skills in graduating classes that are limited to 36 participants in order to maintain a small-scale, friendly environment that promotes synergies and exchanges.

A TRAINING PROGRAM WITH AN INTERNATIONAL FOCUS
The international component of the Executive Master’s is another advantage of this course and begins the moment you arrive on campus, which is home to many different nationalities of students, researchers and entrepreneurs.
In addition, École Polytechnique offers modules in France and abroad on new topics thanks to its network of internationally renowned partner universities. For example, previous graduating classes had the opportunity to study an introduction to the challenges of Industry 4.0 at TUM (Munich), new forms of mobility at UC Berkeley and the specificities of digitalization in the Singaporean context with SMU.
APPLICATION PROCESS
1. INTERVIEW WITH THE ADMISSIONS TEAM
The first stage of the application process is an interview with our admissions team. If all the requirements are met, you will be granted access to the online application portal.
2. APPLICATIONS
The application portal allows you to put together your written application providing details of your project and motivation. If your application is approved by the selection panel, you will be invited to an interview.
3. INTERVIEW WITH
THE SELECTION PANEL
The aim of this interview is to discuss your project.
The panel will then decide on whether to accept your application.
