Erwan Le Pennec est professeur au Département de Mathématiques Appliquées de l'École Polytechnique depuis septembre 2013. Ses recherches sont menées au Centre de Mathématiques Appliquées (CMAP).
Il travaille sur des problèmes liés aux données en traitement du signal, statistique et apprentissage, avec un goût prononcé pour les applications.
Il est co-directeur, avec Emmanuel Gobet, de l'équipe SIMPAS (Signal IMage Probabilités numériques et Apprentissage Statistique), et il est impliqué dans plusieurs programmes de formation dispensés par l'école : MSc&T Data Science for Business et le Data Science Starter Program de la Formation Continue de Polytechnique.
Aymeric Dieuleveut a obtenu son doctorat en statistique mathématique de l'École Normale Supérieure de Paris (Ulm), France, en 2017, après avoir obtenu son master en mathématiques de l'École Normale Supérieure de Paris en 2014.
De 2017 à 2019, il a été chercheur à l'École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. En 2019, il est devenu professeur assistant à l'École Polytechnique, Paris, France, et a été nommé professeur en 2023.
Ses domaines de recherche couvrent la statistique en haute dimension, l'optimisation stochastique, l'apprentissage statistique machine et l'apprentissage fédéré. Il travaille à la fois sur des sujets fondamentaux, couvrant la conception d'algorithmes, la fourniture de garanties théoriques et de nouvelles approches, et sur des sujets plus appliqués, incluant des collaborations avec des partenaires industriels (EDF, Owkin).
